Support and maintenance

How to reach a person who can actually fix your problem, what to include so it is solved on the first reply, and when things are planned to be offline.

Getting help

Everything goes through the contact form, which routes by topic to whoever owns that area. Picking the right topic is the single biggest factor in how fast you get a useful answer.

Where each kind of problem goes

A security issue — see below, do not use the form—

You can also write directly to [email protected], or call +91 79056 50339.

What to include

Most support threads run long because the first message is missing one of these.

  • Which kit, job or page. The kit name, the order or entry reference, or the exact address of the page.
  • What you expected, and what happened instead. Both halves — "it does not work" cannot be acted on.
  • What you already tried. Saves us suggesting it back to you.
  • A photograph, for anything physical. It usually replaces a whole exchange of messages.
  • Your browser and device, for anything in the Lab. The 3D tools behave differently across GPUs.

Reporting a security problem

If you have found a vulnerability, please do not put it in the public contact form. Write to [email protected]. Tell us what you found and how to reproduce it, and give us a reasonable window to fix it before disclosing. We will confirm receipt and keep you updated. We will not pursue anyone who reports in good faith and does not access or alter other people's data.

Maintenance windows

This site is static, so ordinary updates go out with no downtime and no window is needed. The Lab is the part that can genuinely go offline, because it has running state to migrate.

Planned maintenance
Planned workAnnounced on this page before it starts.
Emergency workWithout notice where security requires it. Announced here as soon as it starts.
During a competitionNo planned maintenance while a competition is being judged.

A timezone matters more than it sounds: entrants and schools are not all in one, and "Saturday night" is Sunday morning somewhere.

Questions

Common questions

How do I get help with an Airoot kit, fabrication job or Lab tool?

Use the contact form and pick the topic that matches your problem: Kits, Fabrication, Lab, Competitions or Orders. The form routes your message to whoever owns that area, so the right topic is the biggest factor in a quick, useful answer.

What should I include in a support message?

Name the kit, job or page, using the kit name, order or entry reference, or the page address. Describe what you expected, what happened instead and what you already tried. Add a photograph for anything physical, and your browser and device for Lab problems.

How do I report a security problem?

Do not use the public contact form. Write to the security contact, explain what you found and how to reproduce it, and allow a reasonable window for a fix before you disclose it. Airoot will confirm receipt and will not pursue good-faith reporters who do not access or alter other people's data.

Does Airoot have planned maintenance windows?

The site is static, so ordinary updates need no downtime, but the Lab can go offline because it has running state to migrate. Planned work uses a regular window with advance notice, and none happens while a competition is being judged. Emergency work can happen without notice where security requires it.

Where can I see the current service status?

The support page has a current status block. It is edited by hand for now, and a separate automatic status page has not been built.
